About ME

Jordan DeFazio is a Canadian screenwriter and lecturer at the Beijing Film Academy where he teaches Beginner Screenwriting and Film Genre. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Film Studies from Concordia University in Montreal. He studied Producing at the New York Film Academy and then went on to study a year of his Masters at EICAR  (The International Film & Television School Paris), before deciding to move to China to study Buddhism and pursue screenwriting.

Jordan has optioned 3 screenplays in the U.S. and helped in the creation of the TV version of “Deep in the Heart 心迷宫”. In 2019 he completed a 3-part mini-movie for Sony China and iQiyi called Chosen 2 杀无赦that is currently on Netflix and iqiyi. Post-covid Jordan switched to the mobile game world/VR game world and in 2023 decided to move back to Canada where he worked for Cohere in training their AI models to write in creative ways. Now he works for one of the biggest banks in Canada as a writer.

乔丹（Jordan DeFazio）是一位来自加拿大的编剧，在北京电影学院教授《初级编剧创作》和《电影流派》课程。本科毕业于加拿大蒙特利尔康考迪亚大学电影学专业。在纽约电影学院学习制片后，乔丹前往法国巴黎国际电影电视学院，完成了一年制的研究生课程。之后，他决定来到中国，一边潜心研究佛教，一边继续编剧事业。

乔丹已将三部剧本的优先选择权成功卖给美国的影视公司，同时参与了电视剧版《心迷宫》的创作。2019年，他完成了索尼中国与爱奇艺联合出品的微网剧《杀无赦2》的创作。该剧也将上线Netflix。
